Setting up your Norton course in D2L/Brightspace through WilloLabs

Setting up your Norton course:

  1. From a D2L/Brightspace course, create a module where you would like to add Norton activity links. In the module click  "Add Existing  Activities" , select the tool called “Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3”. (The name may vary slightly at your campus.)
  2. Click Continue in a new window button   
  3. Enter the Product Token to pair the Norton Product to the D2L/Brightspace course   
  4. Click the Verify button. Click the Confirm button after reviewing the details. If the product does not match click the Reset button
  5. Select Course Management when the course is paired successfully   
  6. In Course Management, click Add Publisher Links, and then Continue to W. W. Norton 
  7. Log in using the email and password tied to your Norton account. If you don’t have a Norton account yet, reach out to your Norton rep for help.
  8. Follow the steps in the wizard to create a Norton course, which is matched to your D2L/Brightspace course. You’ll need to set this up just once per D2L/Brightspace course.
    • Step 1. This step confirms that you’re connected with your D2L/Brightspace course
    • Step 2Confirm that the course material paired to your course is correct. If this is not correct, please contact your bookstore to get it updated to the correct material before proceeding.
      • If applicable, confirm whether your course is participating in your school’s inclusive or equitable access program. Note that this program can be called different names.
    • Step 3. Enter some required course details. 
    • Step 4. Confirm all your course information and create the course. (Or, to correct anything, use the “Previous” button to go back and edit it.) 

Adding deep links to course material:

  1. Select the integration type for your D2L/Brightspace course
  2. Choose course material to add to your D2L/Brightspace course
    • Resource links such as Videos, Documents, or unassignable Ebooks, will be sent to D2L/Brightspace Module without a Grade Item 
    • Assignable activities like Norton Illumine Ebook, InQuizitive, Smartwork, Tutorials, etc. will be sent to D2L/Brightspace as gradable assignment links in a D2L/Brightspace course Module, with a corresponding grade item in Grades
      • For assignments, you may set a due date, and adjust the LMS point value
  3. Click the Review button at the bottom of the screen.
  4. You’ll see a summary of the links you selected.  Confirm, and click the Send to LMS button
  5. Click the Close window button   
  6. You will see the content in your D2L/Brightspace course module.  You can reorganize or regroup your content in D2L/Brightspace so that your course is laid out the way you want.    

Relaunching deep linking tool:

You don’t have to select all your links at once. You can launch this tool from your D2L/Brightspace course to add additional links throughout the semester.

  1. From a D2L/Brightspace course Module, locate or create a module where you would like to add links. Click on Add Existing Activities from the module and select Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3” from the drop down menu.   (note that the name may vary slightly at your campus)   
  2. Select External Tool from the drop down menu, and then select the tool called “Follett-Willo Digital Delivery 1.3”,
  3. Click Continue in a new window button   
  4. In Course Management, click Add Publisher Links, and then Continue to W. W. Norton

    • Note that the tool will indicate which links you have already added to your course
